While the metropolitan market is softening the Yass Valley continues to go from strength to strength with 100% clearance this past weekend including this fully renovated three-bedroom home that was sold to a first home buyer.
The property market in Yass is showing little sign of slowing down if this past weekend was anything to go by. Yass is continuing to prove to be a popular destination for relocating metropoles because of its proximity to major capitals while also having comfortable serviceability and amenities. And that’s just what the successful buyer of 43 Ford Street was looking for. The fully renovated three-bedroom home sold at auction for $677,500. Selling agent George Southwell from Ray White Rural Canberra/Yass said it was a joy to see another person realise their dream of owning their first home. “This property was sold to a first home buyer who found Canberra too expensive. We love to welcome people to Yass and I am sure he will love our town.” He said despite there only being one registered bidder they still achieved a result well above expectations. “We train for single bidder auctions so we are ready for this change in the market. The owners have still achieved an unconditional contract within 30 days and the buyer has been able to secure his first home, it’s very exciting.”
Vendor Brooke Selwyn said they have poured a lot of heart and soul into transforming the property and it was a joy to see it sold to a first home buyer. “Ford Street has been a passion project of ours and we just loved the communication and dedication by the entire Ray White team. They made the sales process really easy for us and we are very happy with the sale and are sure the new owner will love our home.”
